This poster depicts Sweeney Todd’s hand holding his shaving blade. On the blade there is blood, displaying Sweeney might have just killed someone. This creates mystery for the viewer further intriguing him or her. Above the blade sits the logo. The eye moves from the hand straight up to the logo making connecting the two. Behind the arm lies the wallpaper used in Sweeney’s shaving room. The edges of the poster contain a vignette to provide more focus on the logo and the hand. On the left and right of the hand lies the slogan for the movie reading “Never Forget Never Forgive.” The text is ghosted back to remain visible but not distracting. The poster follows a simple-is-better concept with eye catching imagery.
